Because of the design of the X5, a nose-in impact could cause the Lipo to hit the motor and the motor to hit the front cyclic servos; damaging some expensive components and increasing the repair costs exponentially. This is a needed item to protect your X5 in case of a mishap. It definily fixes a design flaw and will pay for itself eventually. Worth the money.
